Don't trust this company or its product!, July 9, 2007 This review is from: Southern Textiles Platinum Queen Size Bed Mattress Topper Cover Product didn't work as advertised. Unfortunately my son had an accident on our bed and it went right through the mattress protector. I contacted the company and they would not honor their warranty claiming the product had punctures. I explained this was absolutely impossible as it was new out of the packaging. They insisted I was lying to them and will not take care of the stain as stated in their warranty. I strongly urge people not to buy this product as the company doesn't back up the warranty. Quite unfair.

not water proof, July 27, 2010 By Romey (USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Twin XL Waterproof Mattress Pad - Southern Textiles Platinum Mattress Protector (Kitchen) These were sold to me on the basis that they are water proof, much more than just water resistant.
I have 6 of these, 3 have leaked-badly (the ones with kids who have occassional accidents). 2 matresses have been soiled and Southern textiles put the responsibility back on me. Did you use bleach washing it? What temp was your dryer? I cared for the product exactly according to their instructions. They replaced the leaky protectors and even one of those leaked. I have to use their chemical products to clean my matresses before they will even consider replacing them, if at all, and I am told that they will probably not, by their warranties dept.
Another problem with the protectors is that the elastic sides rip, 4 have done this, of the 6 I own. The rip starts with a small whole but eventually shreds, making it very difficult to put on to the matress.
I spent way to much money on this product. Hopefully you wont.

Back for seconds, March 21, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Southern Textiles Platinum Queen Size Bed Mattress Topper Cover I purchased a new one of these and have been very happy with it as a product. You cannot feel it at all, and it does an amazing job. The only reason that I needed a second is because my wife decided to wash it on hot (which for our machine is scalding) and then dry it on high heat for 50 minutes (enough to shrink a XXL sweater down to an appropriate size for a baby shower gift). Just read the tag, and it could not be simpler.
